Worst Movies of 2010

I beg you not to see these movies. Do not make the same mistake I did. These movies are not worth your time or money. With that said, here are the movies that missed the mark in 2010:

10. The Book of Eli- There were so many problems with this movie. I typically like Denzel Washington and Gary Oldman, but I was not all that impressed with either performance. But the worst part of this movie was Mila Kunis. She completely ruins any chance this movie had of being entertaining. Waste of my time.

 Rotten Tomatoes- 48%

9. Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief- Ok, so the books are clearly a knock-off on Harry Potter, but they are still entertaining. But the movie was just plain dumb. It was very choppy, poorly made, poorly acted. This movie should never have been made. It sucked.

 Rotten Tomatoes- 50%

8. Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps- Big Cast. Poor Delivery. This movie just kept dragging on and on and on. I was exhausted by the time it was over. Not a fan of this sequel to a great film.

 Rotten Tomatoes- 54%

7. The Bounty Hunter- I cant even begin to explain how pathetically awful this movie is. Please spare yourself from this stupid stupid movie.

 Rotten Tomatoes- 7%

6. The American- Tries to be like Bourne, but fails miserably. The film was not so much about the story, but about the cinematography. Anton Corbijn has a good eye for creating beautiful landscapes, but he needs to stick to filming U2 music videos.

 Rotten Tomatoes- 65%

5. Easy A- Based on 'The Scarlet Letter', this movie focuses on a high school girl who starts a rumor that she had sex with a college guy, and the rumor spreads. Along the way, the movie makes Christians look like self-righteous bigots who sit around in circles playing guitar and singing cheesy songs. The Christians in the film turn out to be the most dysfunctional people. Hmm, I wonder if the director is making a statement here. Crappy movie. Hated it.

 Rotten Tomatoes- 86%

4. The Losers- The title says it all.

 Rotten Tomatoes- 48%

3. Knight and Day- Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz just don't do it for me. Just when you think it can't get any cheesier, it does.

 Rotten Tomatoes- 53%

2. How Do You Know- I had the hardest time sitting through this movie. It's shallow, dumb, stupid, with a horrible plot. Reese Witherspoon has proven that she can act (Walk the Line), but she continues to make these chick flicks that just don't deliver. This movie is a waste of your time.

 Rotten Tomatoes- 30%

1. The Last Airbender- I was genuinely hoping this was going to be a good comeback film for M. Knight Shyamalan, considering that the film is based on a really good animated series. Yet he delivered not just the worst movie of the year, but possibly the worst movie I have ever seen. Congratulations Mr. Shyamalan, I crown you the worst director in Hollywood.

 Rotten Tomatoes- 7%

  1. Haha, Mark, I can just hear your voice in this. Well-selected crap. Though I'm surprised Book of Eli isn't your number one. I can't think of a more ludicrous, offensive portrayal of Christian devotion that Washington's in that movie; he lets a woman get raped so that he doesn't have to risk losing his Bible. Uh, what version of the Good Samaritan parable has he been reading? -Schaeffer
